Short Cake Bakery

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

Another Amy Pressman/Nancy Silverton creation, with Hourie Sarakian. Short Cake is in the middle of the Original Farmer’s Market and serves seasonal-inspired baked goods and coffee. This is the bread and sweets bakery for Short Order Restaurant. The materials used were some that were found in a former bakery in the market, including whisk lights and jelly roll pans for menu boards. The tiles are all hand-decorated from the UK and have a sophisticated playfulness to them.
